OCSEW 2017

At the Orange County Science & Engineering Week Scavenger Hunt, OC Launch established a workshop where members encouraged young students ranging from 6th to 8th grade to make their own résumé or business card. By having kids fill out their own mock business card, we wanted to introduce them to the fundamentals of marketing when starting a business. Through creating résumés, students got an idea of how to list their own achievements and skills when applying for a job in the future. Young students from all different grade levels stopped by our workshop and walked away with either a business card or a résumé filled with their “achievements.” In future OSCEW Scavenger Hunts, we hope to continue to teach students about the purpose, format, and details regarding business cards and resumes.
